PERU - CUSCO - MACHU PICCHU
Peru is located in the central portion of South America bordering Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia and Chile, Peru has 24 regions and the city of Lima as capital of the country. Lima has more than 7 million inhabitants. South of Peru also has various tourist attractions comming from pre Inca, Inca, and Colonial times, Nazca lines, the white city of Arequipa, lake Titicaca in Puno, Machupicchu in Cusco, these attractions are good examples. Depart from Lima and after a 45 minute flight, you will arrive to Velasco Astete airport in Cusco. Cusco in another time was the capital of the Inca Empire and considered now as a human patrimony. This magical city offers a lot of archaeological, cultural, and beautiful landscapes where it is possible to practice some adventure sports. The most visited place is Machupicchu, fabulous stone structures located between the mountains and high rain forest; its location is a prevailing strategic point. On the other hand Machupicchu has three important sectors (religious, urban, agriculturist) where Intihuatana or solar clock as well as some houses were restored. Recently Machupicchu has been named one of the Wonders of the world.
